HARRISBURG – Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35) will hold his fifth annual Senator for a Day program for area high school students next week.
The event will be held Thursday, May 14, beginning at 7:45 a.m. in the JFK Student Center Auditorium at Saint Francis University, 132 Franciscan Way, Loretto.
The program gives students hands-on experience with lawmaking, beginning with an overview of the legislative process. Student senators then divide into Senate committees to discuss bills, take positions and draft legislation for the full Senate to consider.
About 100 students have registered to attend.
