HARRISBURG – Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35) announced today that two state Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants totaling $4 million were awarded to projects in Cambria and Centre counties.
The Gallery on Gazebo will receive $500,000 for renovations to a new building, which will include a storytelling lab, education kitchen, gallery, offices, and various performance and gathering spaces.
The Central Intermediate Unit 10 will receive $3.5 million for renovating the former Philipsburg-Osceola Junior High School, including the gymnasium, along with site enhancements such as new walkways, curbing and green space.
“Investing in our local communities is essential for fostering growth and opportunity,” said Langerholc. “These grants not only enhance our cultural and educational resources but also demonstrate our commitment to strengthening the region.”
RACP is a grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects. RACP projects are state-funded and cannot obtain primary funding under other state programs.
