HARRISBURG – Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35) will take part in a ceremony on Monday, Oct. 28, to name a local bridge in honor of a fallen Marine from Cambria County.
The bridge carrying State Route 1021 over Glendale Lake in White Township, Cambria County, will be designated as the CPL Reid Rex Ross 3 BN 26 Marine Reg. Memorial Bridge. A native of Flinton, PA, CPL Ross was killed south of Da Nang, Vietnam, on December 4, 1968, while returning fire to protect his fellow Marines during Operation Meade River.
The ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. at the Pickerel Pond Pavilion (Pavilion 1), Prince Gallitzin State Park in Flinton.
