
JOHNSTOWN – Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35) announced $1.1 million in grant funding has been awarded in Cambria and Clearfield counties through PennDOT’s Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF).
In Cambria County, Gautier Steel Bar Mill, LLC received $664,679 to rehabilitate sidewalks along Clinton Street and the Gautier Steel facility.
In Clearfield County, Chester Hill Borough received $500,000 for improvements to Rowland Avenue.
“These investments will support communities in upgrading local infrastructure,” said Langerholc. “Together with the $775 million in transportation improvements included in the recently approved state budget, these projects represent important investments that strengthen local transportation networks and improve safety for residents, local businesses and visitors.”
PennDOT will begin accepting applications for the next round of MTF grants Sept. 14. Applications are due by Oct. 30. Local applicants may contact Sen. Langerholc’s office for assistance in preparing their submissions.
