Langerholc Announces $650K for Miracle League of Cambria County

State Assistance for local project

HARRISBURG – Miracle League of Cambria County Inc. has been awarded a Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant to assist in the construction of a baseball field for children with special needs, Sen. Wayne Langerholc Jr. (R-35) announced today.

Miracle League of Cambria County Inc. will receive $650,000 to build a baseball field with special facilities at Roxbury Park in the City of Johnstown. The project will include constructing a field, bleachers, concession stand and press box, and associated stormwater improvements.

“I was proud to fully fund this grant for the Miracle League to support major improvements at Roxbury Park,” said Langerholc. “This investment strengthens a community asset and ensures people of all abilities can continue using the park to stay active and engaged in our community.”

“We are so appreciative of Sen. Langerholc’s efforts to help us obtain approval of a $650,000 RACP grant for the Miracle League at Roxbury Park,” said Jeffery Cramer, president, Miracle League of Cambria County. “We thank him for his strong advocacy which resulted in him securing the funds for our project. This will truly be a regional asset. Thank you so much.”

RACP is a commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects. RACP projects are state-funded and cannot obtain primary funding under other state programs.
