Langerholc Sworn in to Third Senate Term and Elected Majority Whip

HARRISBURG – Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35) took the oath of office today to begin his third term as a state senator for the 35th Senatorial District, representing Clearfield County, Cambria County and parts of Centre County.

Langerholc was sworn in today by the Honorable Gina R. Force during ceremonies held at the state Capitol in Harrisburg. Langerholc won reelection to his Senate seat in November. In addition to being sworn in, Langerholc was also elected by his Republican colleagues in the Senate to serve as Majority Whip, joining the Senate majority leadership team for the 2025-26 legislative session.

“I am excited to begin a third term in the Senate and thank the voters for the confidence they have bestowed on me,” said Langerholc. “I am eager to continue to build on the success we have enjoyed and ensure the 35th District has a voice in the state.”

A former assistant district attorney and township supervisor, Langerholc was first elected to the Pennsylvania Senate in November 2016. A graduate of Richland High School, Juniata College, and Widener University Commonwealth Law School, Langerholc is a lifelong resident of Cambria County and currently resides there with his wife Cortney and their three daughters.
