HARRISBURG – Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35) highlighted traffic signal grants provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Green Light-Go program.
“I am pleased to see local communities throughout my legislative district will receive critical funding to fix our traffic signals,” said Langerholc. “These investments will improve the flow of traffic and make our roads safer for all users.”
The following municipalities from the 35th Senatorial District were awarded:
Centre County:
- Ferguson Township – $258,590 for modernization of traffic signal equipment at the intersection of North Atherton Street and Blue Course Drive/Clinton Avenue.
Clearfield County:
- City of Dubois – $310,040 for modernization of traffic signal equipment at Beaver Drive and Liberty Boulevard.
- Sandy Township – $485,016 for traffic signal improvements at Brady Street and Dixon Avenue.
Established by Act 89 of 2013, PennDOT’s Green Light-Go is a competitive state grant program designed to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals.
