HARRISBURG – Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35) today announced that the John Murtha Johnstown-Cambria County Airport was awarded $1.1 million from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) for a new hangar project.
“I am grateful for PennDOT’s recognition of our regional airport with this award of $1.1 million,” said Sen. Langerholc. “These funds will continue to build upon the airport’s tremendous growth. I am proud to continue support of our airport and look forward to the benefits it provides for our community.”
The funds will be used to prepare the site for construction of the new hangar.
This project will be funded by the state Capital Budget through the Aviation Transportation Assistance Program.
