(HARRISBURG) – Senator Wayne Langerholc Jr. (R-35), chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee, today issued the following statement on the Governor’s Transportation Revenue Options Commission:
“I have been asked to join the Governor’s new Transportation Revenue Options Commission, which is a multidisciplinary panel to evaluate revenue options for all modes of the Commonwealth’s transportation system. Since being appointed as the Chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee, I have called for a much broader conversation to review revenue options as well as examine cost-saving measures.
“We need a government that works to address the Keystone State’s transportation funding disparities, but we also need a government that lives within its means without simply imposing another tax, fee or toll. I look forward to working in a bipartisan manner to make significant positive reform that will yield progress for everyone in this Commonwealth.”
