HARRISBURG – Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35) joined legislators and advocates in Harrisburg today to rally in support of a resolution that condemns the practice of selective abortion of babies with Down syndrome.
Langerholc cosponsored Senate Resolution 174, which denounces the use of abortion or sterilization techniques to rid society of a class of individuals.
“Seeking to terminate an entire class of people is wrong and cruel,” Langerholc said. “Thousands of individuals living with this condition live long, productive lives – it is not our place to determine that they are better off unborn.”
