The Senate Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee will hold a public hearing in Johnstown on Monday, September 11, according to Senate Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee Chairman Senator Randy Vulakovich.
The Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee will consider fire issues during the public hearing, which is set for 7 p.m. at the Richland Somerset Fire Company, 1321 Scalp Ave, Johnstown. Testimony will be heard from the State Fire Commissioner, the PA Fire & Emergency Services Institute, Breezewood Volunteer Fire Company, Hyndman Fire Department and Hyndman Emergency Management, Johnstown Fire Department, and the Richland Township Fire Department.
“As the General Assembly forms a Special Commission through Senate Resolution 6 to study Fire and Emergency Services issues, our Committee will remain active and gather additional information from first responders throughout the Commonwealth,” said Sen. Vulakovich.
