Langerholc: Bridge Dedication Ceremonies Set to Honor Area Veterans

HARRISBURG – Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35) will take part in several ceremonies this week designating bridges in Clearfield and Cambria counties to honor area military veterans and fallen warriors.

The bridge on State Route 3004 over the West Branch of the Susquehanna River in Burnside Township, Clearfield County will be designated as the U.S. Army Sergeant Harold Koller Memorial Bridge. The ceremony will be held Wednesday, April 24, 11 a.m., at the Cherry Tree Municipal Building 131 S. Main St., Cherry Tree.

Two ceremonies will be held Thursday, April 25 at the Ebensburg VFW Post 4963, 120 W. Sample St., Ebensburg.

At noon, the bridge carrying West High Street over the Ghost Town Trail in Ebensburg Borough, Cambria County, will be designated as the Corpsman Charles Doerr, United States Navy, Memorial Bridge. At 1 p.m., the bridge carrying State Route 4002 over California Run in Cambria Township, Cambria County will be designated as the Senior Chief Stanley “Stush” Kubat, Jr., Memorial Bridge.

On Friday, April 26 at 2:30 p.m., the bridge carrying Beech Hill Road over the Little Conemaugh River in East Taylor Township, Cambria County will be designated as the East Taylor Township Veterans Memorial Bridge. The ceremony will be held at the bridge.

The ceremonies will include representatives of PennDOT and veterans organizations.
